MISTRAS Group, announced that its team at the Marathon Petroleum Garyville, La., refinery was recognized by the Marathon Petroleum LSA Committee for submitting impactful "Good Catches" in the field.
The recognition highlights proactive hazard identification by MISTRAS field personnel, including Project Manager Marco De Leon, Field Supervisor Jorge Bustos, Safety Manager John Harris and team members Alfredo Ovalle, Derrick Marshall, Angel Reyes-Bustos and Javier Adame.
The acknowledgment reflects the safety culture MISTRAS describes as central to itsexasfield operations, one built on staying alert, identifying hazards and taking action before incidents occur. The company’s commitment to that standard recently earned MISTRAS the 2025 American Equity Underwriters Safety Award, a distinction achieved by fewer than 2% of all AAEU members. In April 2026, MISTRAS was also named Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 Global NDT Field Inspection Services Company of the Year, recognizing the company’s integrated approach to asset protection, combining advanced inspection services, engineered products and proprietary software.
