EMCOR Group, parent company of Repcon, AltairStrickland and Diamond Refractory Services, has been added to the S&P 500® Index, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices.
The S&P 500 is one of the most widely followed stock market indexes globally, with trillions of dollars managed based on its composition. Changes to the index typically prompt buying and selling of the affected companies’ shares by funds that track the index.
