Utilizing hydraulic tube expansion, the HydroPlug system ensures full-depth expansion of its “thimble” shaped plug by hydroforming it into the joint. This creates a superior seal and the enhanced outside diameter option results in the most surface area contact of any plug on the market.
Utilizing an engineered plug solution ensures total compatibility. By matching size, material, length, etc., HydroPlugs can be manufactured to work as efficiently as possible. Plugs can be welded after expansion and are available with or without circumferential grooves for maximum leak protection. To remove HydroPlugs, use a pulling spear just like if you were removing a tube.
