The 2025 Responsible Care® and Sustainability Conference is shaping up to be a major event for the chemical industry, bringing together organizations and individuals committed to creating a safe and healthy future for all.
Taking place from May 4-7 at the Marriott Harbor Beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this year’s event aims to help Responsible Care practitioners, EHS professionals and sustainability stakeholders address pressing challenges and opportunities. From executives to operators, this event draws representatives from all aspects of the industry.
This year’s conference will focus on how chemical manufacturers and supply chain partners are forging a path to a safe and sustainable future — from developing new, innovative products and processes to supporting safe communities and building a robust future workforce.
So, why attend the 2025 Responsible Care & Sustainability Conference? This annual event, hosted by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), offers opportunities for attendees to enhance their understanding of new technologies and emerging issues, build connections with other industry experts and implement practical solutions to drive safety and environmental performance from the facility through the supply chain. The event also connects chemical manufacturers with Responsible Care Partners — supply chain companies whose commitment to EHS is affirmed by their participation in Responsible Care.
Hear keynote speakers on leadership, safety and sustainability
The conference features two keynote speakers whose insights and stories will inspire attendees. Col. Eileen Collins, a NASA astronaut, and the first female space shuttle pilot, will share her perspective on effective leadership, navigating challenges and enhancing safety. The event will also feature Gary Foote, chief information officer and sustainability lead for the MoneyGram Haas Formula 1 (F1) Team. Foote will focus on the sport’s ambitious carbon reduction goals and illustrate the parallels between F1 and the chemical industry’s efforts to lower emissions, invest in renewable energy and enhance safety.
Explore priority issue areas and emerging industry trends
The chemical industry is ever evolving and growing to meet new challenges and needs. This year’s conference will spotlight groundbreaking solutions that are reshaping how companies are approaching safety and environmental performance. Breakout sessions will include practical approaches to water stewardship, global and supply chain risk management, harnessing data for informed performance strategies, managing occupational safety health and risks and immersive training to support safety in human performance, among other informative topic areas.
Build connections with industry leaders and future partners
Rome wasn’t built in a day — and it wasn’t built by one person. Driving safety and sustainability for the chemical industry will require collaboration across all areas of the industry and at all levels. The conference will bring together more than 300 professionals committed to advancing performance in the chemical industry through networking events, breakout discussions and interactive sessions, facilitating meaningful connections between attendees. In the exhibit hall, attendees will have the chance to connect with leading companies that can help organizations meet their goals.
Celebrate the success and contributions of industry leaders
At the Responsible Care & Sustainability Conference, ACC will announce winners of the 2025 Responsible Care and Sustainability Leadership Awards — recognizing companies and individuals who are advancing facility safety, enhancing energy efficiency, championing Responsible Care, collaborating to build sustainable solutions and advancing product stewardship, among other award categories.
