Renewable Energy Group (REG) on Monday said it had purchased 14 million gallons of storage tank capacity adjacent to its Danville, Illinois, biorefinery. The newly acquired tank complex will increase REG’s feedstock storage capacity by 950,000 gallons and increase its biodiesel storage capacity by 12 million gallons.
REG began a $31 million upgrade at the Danville facility last July that includes logistics enhancements and biodiesel distillation capabilities. The project is expected to be complete later this year.
