Maintenance at U.S. ethanol plants will get into “full swing” over the next one or two weeks, sources told Platts last week. Some observers believe seasonal maintenance could be drawn out this year due to thin margins. Platts noted that maintenance at an ethanol plant can last anywhere from four or five days to a couple of weeks depending on the size of the plant and the scope of the work.
