-A boiler feed water pump failure last week resulted in the shutdown of the ammonia and methanol units at OCI Beaumont. Via Platts, OCI Beaumont has since restarted the units.
-Enterprise Products Partners began an open season for an expansion of a portion of its Panola Pipeline Co. NGLs system between Carthage, Texas, and Mont Belvieu, Texas. The 181-mile, 50,000-barrel-per-day system would give Haynesville and Cotton Valley oil and gas producers access to Enterprise’s NGL fractionation complex in Mont Belvieu.
-Shell-owned Zydeco Pipeline Co. entered agreements with Motiva Enterprises and Sunoco Pipeline to enhance its connections and capacity in Nederland, Texas, and Port Neches, Texas. Zydeco is also seeking to add capacity to pipeline segments in Lake Charles, La., and St. James, La.
-Dow Chemical named Deborah Borg president of Dow USA. Borg joined Dow in 2000 and has held numerous human resources roles in Asia, Europe and North America. She most recently served as vice president of human resources.
-PBF Energy last week announced Executive Vice President Matthew Lucey would succeed Michael Gayda as president in January. Lucey joined PBF in 2008 and served as CFO from 2010 until April of this year. Gayda announced his retirement last month. PBF also appointed Chief Commercial Officer Todd O’Malley president of the general partner of PBF Logistics. O’Malley joined PBF in 2010 as director of clean products and has also served as vice president of products.
