Flint Hills Resources is set to start a $20 million expansion at its Waupun, Wisconsin, fuel terminal, the company said last week. Flint Hills said the expansion will double the terminal’s loading capacity and add three new bays. Meanwhile, the company is nearing completion on a $7 million expansion at its fuel terminal in Junction City.
The two projects will enable Flint Hills to supply an additional 27,000 barrels per day of fuel to the central and northeastern Wisconsin markets. The company supplies about one-third of the gasoline and diesel fuel used in the state.
The Waupun terminal expansion is expected to be complete in the fall of 2017.
