Enterprise Products Partners and Occidental Petroleum have started up a new joint venture natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin, the companies announced Wednesday. Located in Reeves County, Texas, the plant has a capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day and can extract more than 22,000 barrels per day of NGLs. Enterprise has built an 82-mile NGL pipeline that connects its Chaparral pipeline with its Mont Belvieu, Texas, complex in conjunction with the new plant.
It is the latest in a series of investments Enterprise has made to boost its gas processing capability in the Delaware Basin. Its South Eddy plant started up earlier this year and in June it announced plans to build a third plant that is expected to start up in 2018.
