Philadelphia Energy Solutions (PES) will begin operating a benzene offtake terminal at its Philadelphia refinery next month, Reuters reports. PES uses benzene to make cumene, which it sells to Honeywell. The terminal has eight cumene tanks with a combined capacity of 164,000 barrels and two benzene tanks with a total capacity of 58,000 barrels. PES recently completed a crude oil rail unloading system that will allow it to bring more Bakken crude into the refinery.
