LyondellBasell on Thursday announced CEO James L. Gallogly would retire from the company in 2015. In a statement, LyondellBasell Supervisory Board Chairman Robert G. Gwin credited Gallogly with ushering the firm out of bankruptcy in record time and making it an “industry leader” with a strong balance sheet. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Gallogly served as president and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical and executive vice president of exploration and production at Conoco Phillips, among other positions.
Gallogly will continue in his current position until a replacement is found.
