Crestwood Equity Partners’ new greenfield rail-to-truck NGL terminal in Montgomery, New York, is expected to be placed into service in the summer of 2017, in line with the original project timetable.
The new terminal located north of Peekskill in upstate New York will increase propane supply reliability across the Northeast markets and be supported by product from multiple producers in the Marcellus and Utica regions. It will have a 16-spot rail track that could accommodate up to 100 trucks/day or as much as 1 million gallons.
Crestwood has a 1.7-million-bbl NGL storage capacity in New York, as well as trucking and rail connectivity to Sunoco Logistics’ pipeline in Steuben County. Crestwood connected its COLT Hub to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) in the fourth quarter of 2016, which is expected to attract additional volumes to the facility after DAPL is placed into service.
