Kinder Morgan has agreed to sell a 50% stake in its Utopia Pipeline project to Riverstone Investment Group. The $500 million project entails the construction of an ethane pipeline between two counties in Ohio. The pipeline will connect with existing infrastructure that will transport ethane to petrochemical producers in Ontario. It is supported by a long-term contract with Nova Chemicals Corp.
The Utopia Pipeline is expected to be in service in January 2018.
