BASF will sell its global polyolefin catalysts business to W.R. Grace & Co. — a deal that includes the former’s catalysts plant in Pasadena, Texas. Located in the Bayport Industrial District, the site includes three catalyst manufacturing units and a pilot plant. BASF catalysts division president Kenneth Lane said the sale is part of the company’s plan to focus on its chemical and refinery catalyst businesses. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016.
