Alon Energy has shelved plans to sell its Krotz Springs, La., refinery to its subsidiary Alon USA Partners, citing market conditions. It would have been the second refinery in Alon Partners’ portfolio — it owns and operates the 73,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Big Spring, Texas formerly owned by Alon Energy. It was announced last week that the two sides had agreed on a deal for the Krotz Springs facility.
