Crude production in North Dakota increased slightly in the month of March, reversing a two-month trend of declining output spurred by low oil prices. Via Reuters, the surprise jump in production shows producers’ ability to find efficiencies in their operations and to keep producing even as commodity prices remain sluggish. ExxonMobil, Hess, Continental Resources and ConocoPhillips all completed wells in March, while others such as EOG Resources and Marathon oil delayed production.
