Tesoro is planning to close an FCCU at its Wilmington, Calif., refinery as it integrates the facility with another refinery in the Los Angeles area. Via Reuters, Tesoro has been operating the Wilmington refinery and a refinery in Carson, Calif., it purchased from BP separately. Tesoro has not specified when it will complete the closing of the 36,000-barrel-per-day FCCU in Wilmington. The Carson refinery’s FCCU has a capacity of 104,000 barrels per day.
