Motiva confirmed last week it had begun several weeks of maintenance activity at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery. Via Reuters, Motiva did not specify which units it is working on or how long the work will take.
Earlier this month, sources said Motiva had not set a start date for an overhaul of its VPS-4 crude distillation unit. The project was contingent on the completion of a seven-week overhaul of the plant’s 92,000-barrel-per-day FCCU. Motiva has blocked out a period from late March from early June to work on the crude distillation unit and other units, according to Reuters’ report.
