Enterprise Products Partners’ MTBE unit in Mont Belvieu, Texas, is set to return to full operations next month after a turnaround, Platts reports.
Platts also notes that Gulf Coast MTBE turnaround activity has been lighter this year than in the first quarter of 2015. LyondellBasell is expected to start a turnaround in Q1, but Huntsman has none planned for the year and TPC Group has no maintenance planned this quarter.
Meanwhile, Enterprise today reported a “solid” year in 2015, with a total of $2.6 billion in distributable cash flow, much of which was generated by asset sales. Company CEO Jim Teague credited contributions from newly constructed and acquired assets and its fee-based businesses with helping the firm ride out low commodity prices.
