Union workers at Marathon Petroleum’s Catlettsburg, Ky., refinery are returning to work this week after signing a new labor contract, Bloomberg reports. The Catlettsburg refinery was among the first affected by the nationwide refinery workers’ strike when it began Feb. 1.
Local unions are still negotiating with owners at BP’s Whiting, Ind., and Toledo, Ohio, refineries, along with Marathon’s site in Texas City, Texas, and LyondellBasell’s Houston refinery.
The United Steelworkers union last month reached a tentative agreement with lead industry negotiator Shell to end the strike.
