A series of explosions set off a fire at a chemical plant in Conroe, Texas, on Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported, but the incident triggered a local shelter-in-place that has since been lifted and the fire damaged two buildings at the site. The plant is owned by DrillChem, which makes sealants, shale inhibitors and lubricants for the oil industry.
According to local media reports, the fire was under control less than two hours after the explosions occurred. Local authorities said the last employee had left the plant for the day before the blasts.
