ATLANTA — The Brock Group is one of America’s 16 safest companies, according to “EHS Today,” a magazine dedicated to the management of risk in the workplace and environment.
The America’s Safest Companies award was established in 2002. To be considered as one of America’s Safest Companies, businesses must meet multiple criteria including: demonstrate support from management and employee involvement, provide innovative solutions to safety challenges, report injury and illness rates significantly lower than the average for their industries and believe the prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process.
This year’s awards were presented during the America’s Safest Companies annual conference in Atlanta. Brock CEO Jeff Davis, EHS Senior Vice President Tony Huval and EHS Director Mike Guillory accepted the honors on behalf of Brock’s more than 17,000 employees. Huval credited work force education as one of the key elements in Brock’s safety commitment.
“By educating each employee about potential hazards and how to mitigate them, they have a conscious opportunity and responsibility to take the precautions necessary to prevent incidents and injuries,” Huval said.
