HOUSTON — At the Merichem Co.’s fabrication shop in Houston, pipefitters, welders, fabricators and other skilled craft employees are provided by Jacobs. Jacobs has been providing these services to Merichem since 1998, and recently achieved a new safety milestone of 2,555 days (seven years) with zero OSHA lost-time injuries.
In partnership with Merichem, Jacobs implemented its BeyondZero® safety program in the fabrication shop several years ago with positive results. The site has a Leadership Team comprised of both Merichem and Jacobs on-site team leaders; and a Craft Member Team consisting of Jacobs contract personnel.
