HOUSTON — Cherry recently completed the demolition of Macy’s 10-story, 791,000-square-foot building at 1110 Main St. in Houston. A nine-block perimeter was enforced to keep bystanders away from the blast.
After the building was demolished, materials were sorted and recycled. Instead of clogging a landfill, Cherry recycled and put the rubble back to work as road bed and other aggregate materials.
