NORWALK, Conn. — CS Unitec recently released The Wolf, which is a versatile pneumatic reciprocating saw. It makes straight cuts in steel and has a long orbital stroke for cutting softer materials including wood, plastic and aluminum.
The Wolf has a selector switch that allows the user to easily change the stroke setting to either straight or orbital, and it has the capability to mount on an optional pipe clamp to make 90-degree cuts. The saw uses universal half-inch shank, single-tang reciprocating saw blades and thicker, heavy-duty double tang blades for 90-degree cuts. It is also designed with a powerful 1.6 horsepower pneumatic motor for cutting steel pipe and channel from a half inch up to 6 inches in diameter, and plastic pipe up to 8 inches in diameter.
