Hazelwood Energy Hub recently announced plans to build a $400 million crude oil blending facility in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. It will initially include four salt dome storage caverns and additional aboveground storage tanks with up to 13 million barrels of storage. Located on 750 acres adjacent to Spectra Energy’s Bobcat Gas Storage facility, it will provide the ability to blend up to 10 types of crude simultaneously.
Hazelwood said construction will begin early next year and the project will be complete by early 2018.
Hazelwood is a St. Landry Parish-based firm that provides salt dome and tank storage and custom crude blending for refineries and energy producers.
