Eastman Chemical today announced it would expand Texanol™ ester alcohol capacity at its Longview, Texas, plant by 20%. The expansion is expected to be complete in the second half of 2016. The Longview site is Eastman’s largest producer of Texanol, a coalescent used in latex paints for the building and construction markets. Eastman also produces Texanol in Singapore and China.
