Delta Air Lines’ Philadelphia-area refinery is running at 110% of its capacity as refining margins remain strong amid low oil prices and high gasoline demand, Reuters reports. A source said the higher processing rates are the result of the replacement and widening of pipes. The refinery has been running at approximately 204,000 barrels per day for the past month — its nameplate capacity is 185,000 barrels per day.
Reuters notes that some of the refinery’s regional rivals — including PBF Energy, Phillips 66 and Philadelphia Energy Solutions — have been hamstrung by shutdowns in recent weeks
