Brazil authorities today said they have evidence bribes and kickbacks were paid when state-run oil company Petrobras bought a Pasadena, Texas, refinery in 2006. Via Reuters, Petrobras bought Pasadena Refining System from Dutch firm Astra Oil in order to refine certain crude blends that were being exported in growing volumes from Brazil to the U.S. A prosecutor said the bribes could lead to the annulment of the purchase.
