ExxonMobil Chemical Co. Stephen Pryor will retire Jan. 1, the company announced today. ExxonMobil’s board of directors is expected to appoint Neil Chapman, who currently serves as senior vice president for polymers, to succeed Pryor.
Pryor joined Mobil Corp. in 1971 and has held financial and managerial positions in the U.S., the UK, Cyprus and New Zealand. After Mobil’s merger with Exxon in 1999, Pryor was appointed president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties Co. and became executive vice president of ExxonMobil Chemical in 2002. He has served as president of ExxonMobil Chemical since 2008.
Chapman joined Esso Chemical in Fawley, UK, in 1984. Since the Exxon-Mobil merger, he has held numerous senior management positions, including president of ExxonMobil Global Services Co. and vice president of the Global Polyethylene Business Unit of ExxonMobil Chemical. He has held his current position since 2011.
