Chevron Phillips has shut down an ethylene unit at its Sweeny complex in Old Ocean, Texas, ahead of a 40-50-day planned turnaround, Platts reports. The company did not confirm the shutdown or the planned maintenance activity. Platts said Chevron Phillips is one of six producers planning turnarounds within the next six weeks.
