Two workers were killed and one was injured Tuesday in a high-pressure leak at a Southcross Energy facility near Corpus Christi, Texas. Via the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, the three men were working in a manhole when 800 pounds of pressure leaked, expelling them from the manhole. Southcross said there was no release of gas or a fire.
The incident comes two months after an explosion at Southcross’s gas plant in Frio County, Texas, resulted in two injuries.
Southcross provides midstream natural gas and NGL services in Texas, Mississippi and Alabama.
