Zydeco Pipeline Co. and LOCAP have entered an agreement that provides additional capacity for Zydeco shippers to St. James, Louisiana, via LOCAP’s main pipeline. Zydeco shippers will be able to transport an additional 100,000-140,000 barrels of oil per day from Houma, Louisiana, to St. James at a cost identical to Zydeco’s existing Houma-to-St. James tariff.
Zydeco said its Houma-to-St. James pipeline has been prorated since the pipeline was reversed in 2013.
The Houston-to-Houma Zydeco pipeline transports oil from the Eagle Ford shale, the Permian Basin, the Bakken shale and the Gulf of Mexico to market hubs in St. James and Clovelly, Louisiana. Shell Pipeline Co. and Shell Midstream Partners jointly own the pipeline.
