Shell is conducting planned maintenance at its Puget Sound refinery in Washington state, Reuters reports. A Shell spokesperson declined to say how long the work would last or which units are involved.
Meanwhile, oil prices fell today on expectations that seasonal refinery maintenance could yield record crude inventories. U.S. crude reached a three-month high of $38.51 early on Wednesday.
