LyondellBasell will cut production at its Houston refinery for as long as a month to fix a coker damaged in a fire on Friday, Reuters reports. The company will trim output by as much as 25% as it repairs the smaller and older of two delayed cokers at the refinery. Reuters notes the coker underwent six weeks of maintenance that ended in March. The pump on the coker that caught fire was not included in the project.
The fire was extinguished on Friday and no injuries were reported.
