A global leader in research-led, hightech cleaning and inspection services, Tube Tech International constantly develops tried and tested methods to solve heavy industries' most difficult cleaning challenges throughout the world. For over 32 years, the company has provided simultaneous cleaning and inspection service for static heat transfer equipment that has delivered unprecedented savings.
As the company's senior vice president of sales, Christian Chanel sees innovation and expansion as the main drivers of Tube Tech's success. BIC Magazine recently sat down with Chanel to learn more about what's in store for Tube Tech in the coming year.
BIC: What's the most exciting thing going on at Tube Tech?
CHANEL: We have had increasing success in America for a while, with clients asking when we were going to open a dedicated U.S. operation, so we've been working hard on that for some time now.
We are really excited to be able to announce that Tube Tech will have permanent operations based in Houston within the next few months. We have had an incredible amount of support from everyone, from government departments to refinery operators, and we will be celebrating with an inaugural reception at the Consular's residence in Houston to officially mark the expansion.
BIC: What kinds of new technology is Tube Tech utilizing?
CHANEL: It's fair to say that Tube Tech has built a reputation for achieving the impossible. We invest huge resources into research and development (R&D) of new cleaning solutions. We can confidently say that our cleaning technology is world-class, with game-changing inventions like robotic convection-bank cleaning delivering unbeatable results and significant return on investment. We have no doubt that this is the future for the industry
BIC: What are Tube Tech's biggest clients saying about it?
CHANEL: We know that one of the biggest barriers we have in this industry is change, and we understand that there is reluctance to invest in new methods. However, change is coming, and we can say without exception that our clients love our technology and delivery. They get great returns, increase performance and productivity and are delivered without any risk to workforce or environment. The results speak for themselves, and we see our investment in innovation as a key driver for the growth of the business.
BIC: Can you tell us about Tube Tech's plans for future growth?
CHANEL: We are always looking to build relationships and take advantage of new opportunities, and opening U.S.-based operations is a big step forward for the business. The area around the Gulf Coast is getting so many inquiries, we are looking to increase regular contracts and multi-site agreements. We want to be on the ground as the first point of contact that gets a call. Our vision is that technology that was used for emergencies will be routinely used for regular turnarounds.
BIC: What sets Tube Tech apart from the competition?
CHANEL: Tube Tech is such a unique company that we don't really have any competition. Our technology is first-in-class, and our R&D budgets are huge in comparison to many of our peers. Of course, this means that our contract costs are higher, but our customers look beyond the initial expenditure to the end results and long-term returns.
