Michael K. Wirth

Michael K. Wirth has been elected Chevron Corp.'s chairman of the board and CEO, effective Feb. 1. Wirth, who is currently vice chairman of the board and executive vice president of midstream and development, succeeds John S. Watson, who will retire from the company after 37 years of service.

Mark A. Nelson will become vice president of midstream, strategy and policy, effective Feb. 1. He will be responsible for supply and trading, shipping, pipeline and power operating units.
