ExxonMobil shelves plans to expand Beaumont refinery
ExxonMobil has put on hold a plan to add a third crude distillation unit at its Beaumont, Texas, refinery, Reuters reports. The decision comes amid a 25% reduction in capital spending as the company rides out low crude oil prices. The expansion of the Beaumont site would make it the largest refinery in the U.S. ExxonMobil declined to comment on the project.
