Irving Oil to start $200 million turnaround in September

Irving Oil will kick off a $200 million, 60-day turnaround at its Saint John, New Brunswick, refinery Sept. 16, the company announced today. The project will employ nearly 3,000 contract workers. Irving Oil said the Operation Falcon project would be the largest turnaround in its history and one of the largest private sector investments to take place in Atlantic Canada this year.

The 320,000-barrel-per-day Saint John facility is the largest refinery in Canada.
