Marathon Galveston Bay evacuates workers due to butane leak
Marathon evacuated some workers from its Galveston Bay refinery in Texas City, Texas, Wednesday after a butane leak, Reuters reports. The leak occurred when a backhoe struck a butane pipeline near butane storage spheres and one of the refinery’s alkylation units. Marathon said there were no injuries and no impact to the community or the refinery.
