CLINTON, La. — PacTec Inc. recently presented the U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots campaign with a truckload of brand new toys for less fortunate children.
Each year during the holidays, PacTec employees choose a worthy cause in which to donate, and this year, Marketing Director Trey Castleberry presented a new idea. In lieu of holding a “white elephant” gift exchange at the company Christmas party, Castleberry encouraged attendees to bring their favorite childhood toy for donation.
“The unselfish kindness of our staff is truly awe-inspiring,” Castleberry said. “Employees from every level and department participated, and as a company, we were able to donate hundreds of terrific toys worth thousands of dollars to give local children a Christmas they won’t soon forget.”
“It was fun to begin a new company holiday tradition, and to watch our staff give of their hard-earned money to those less fortunate was very humbling. We are blessed to have a terrific group of employees,” said Mike Schilling, PacTec president and CEO.
