PITTSBURGH — Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) introduced new crane safety regulations for the City of Cincinnati. The program was an integral part of Mayor Cranley’s “Building the Middle Class” initiative. The new legislation, led by Frank Bardonaro, president of Maxim Crane Works LP, was the result of a joint task force that included local contractors, owners, industry groups and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. Maxim was recognized by Mayor Cranley for its industry-leading efforts regarding safety-related issues. The mayor emphasized the importance of workplace safety and the need to raise the standards for all projects taking place in the Greater Cincinnati region. Mayor Cranley thanked those involved and Maxim in particular for supporting this groundbreaking legislation.
