RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Delegates of the Southern States Millwright Regional Council (SSMRC) unanimously elected Wayne Jennings as its new executive secretary-treasurer.
Jennings was formerly a business representative for the Council’s Local 1192 in Birmingham, Alabama. There he played a key role in transforming the local into a fiscally sound organization that is in high demand to provide skilled millwrights to a variety of industries.
Also unanimously voted to re-election of their council leadership positions were President Dickie Bone (Local 1263, Georgia/Carolinas); Vice President David Park (Local 1554, Tennessee); Conductor Michael Hines (Local 2232, Texas); Warden Daniel Mullis (Local 2411, Florida); Trustee Michael Valentine (Local 1554, Tennessee); and Executive Committee at Large Rick Halford (Local 216, Arkansas) and David Bonds (Local 1421, Texas) and Kevin Curley (Local 729, Louisiana).
