HOUSTON — Merichem Co. has appointed Kathryn E. Young to the position of vice president and general manager of Merichem Caustic Services. Young’s responsibilities include leadership of the business unit sales, marketing, logistics, R&D and financial performance. Young is replacing Gordon C. Kato, who served in this position for the past seven years. Prior to joining Merichem, Young held senior leadership positions at Waste Management and Bush Brothers & Co.
