AUSTIN, Texas — The National Academy of Construction (NAC) has elected Donald E. (Don) Whyte, president of NCCER, as a new member in its 2013 class. The 2013 class includes 25 new inductees. More than 250 industry leaders were considered for the NAC’s rigorous nomination and election process. Whyte has been president of NCCER since 2003 and was recognized by the NAC for leadership in work force development, both nationally and internationally. He played a key role in the development of NCCER more than 20 years ago and was instrumental in overseeing the evolution of NCCER’s standardized curricula into the leading craft training program for the industry.
