FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Dennis Donahou is the newly appointed vice president of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America’s (UBC) Southern District. Donahou, a native and resident of Arkansas, assumes the post following the retirement of Danny Maples of Tennessee, who served as UBC Southern District vice president for many years.
Donahou most recently led more than 5,000 professional millwrights of the Southern States Millwrights Regional Council from a start-up organization in 2010 to one of the busiest and most in-demand labor resources for America’s southern states. The Southern District of the UBC covers Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Donahou will oversee five regional councils within these states.
