Mexican state oil company Pemex said it contained a brush fire that broke out at its Salamanca refinery in Guanajuato state on Monday. Via Reuters, the fire did not reach any assets or cause injuries, but Pemex was not able to extinguish it due to environmental conditions.
Earlier this month five workers were injured in a fire at Pemex’s Lazaro Cardenas refinery in Veracruz. That incident followed a November fire at the company’s Salina Cruz refinery that injured eight people.
