Refiners in southern California could see outages resulting from power and gas shortages, Reuters reports. The recent closure of the SoCalGas Aliso Canyon natural gas field has strained supplies, and high temperatures could push the limits of the state’s power grids. A state fuels specialist told Reuters refiners could turn to LPG and still gas produced at their sites to fill the void in the event of a severe gas shortage.
