Aegion’s Energy Services platform has created P2S ServTech LLC through the acquisition of certain assets of Plant Performance Services (P2S). This acquisition includes tools, equipment, intellectual property, historical data and brands, including ServTech.
The acquisition enhances Aegion Energy Services’ ability to provide comprehensive turnaround specialty services to its oil refining clients in California, Washington and across the U.S. These services include planning, estimating, scheduling, heat exchanger services, ASME pressure vessel repairs and retrofits, and specialty welding.

CCIS acquires Nevada equipment rental Rain2Day
Cross Country Infrastructure Services Inc. (CCIS) has acquired Rain2Day Inc. With the addition of Rain2Day, Cross Country has grown its reach in the Western U.S. market. Rain2Day is a rental provider of pumps and tanks, primarily supporting the growing market in Las Vegas and the surrounding Nevada area. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Wolseley Industrial Group, the industrial division of Ferguson Enterprises Inc., has acquired Action Automation. The company now operates as Action Automation, a Wolseley Industrial Group company.
In business since 1997 and headquartered in Alsip, Illinois, Action Automation specializes in providing actuator solutions and services to power utilities, refineries, pipelines, terminals, water and wastewater treatment plants.

US Ecology strengthens Gulf Coast offering with ES&H Dallas acquisition
US Ecology Inc. has purchased ES&H of Dallas LLC, which provides emergency and spill response, light industrial services, and transportation and logistics for waste disposal and recycling from locations in Dallas and Midland, Texas. The acquisition will provide deeper penetration into the emergency and spill response marketplace and extend the reach of the company’s core waste disposal and recycling business in the Gulf region. Total consideration for the business and related property was $22 million.
“The addition of ES&H Dallas’ premier service and logistics network will support our growing business in the Gulf region,” commented Jeff Feeler, US Ecology’s chairman, president and CEO. “Texas remains one of the fastest-growing economies in the U.S., driven primarily by the energy markets as well as the long list of new manufacturing facilities coming on line.”
The company estimates the acquisition will contribute approximately $20 million of revenue and $4 million of EBITDA in 2019.

United Rentals to acquire BlueLine Rental for $2.1 billion
United Rentals Inc. and BlueLine Rental have entered into a definitive agreement under which United Rentals will acquire BlueLine from Platinum Equity for approximately $2.1 billion in cash. The board of directors of United Rentals unanimously approved the agreement. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2018, subject to Hart-Scott-Rodino clearance and customary conditions.
BlueLine is one of the 10 largest equipment rental companies in North America, serving over 50,000 customers in the construction and industrial sectors, with a focus on mid-sized and local accounts. Irving Oil confirms agreements to acquire Irish company Top Oil
Canadian-owned Irving Oil has signed agreements to acquire the Tedcastle group of companies, an Irish-based energy marketing and distribution organization, which operates under the brand name Top Oil.
The acquisition will ultimately enable Irving Oil to further expand its business across the Atlantic Basin, having previously purchased Ireland’s sole refinery in the village of Whitegate in 2016.
Upon the deal’s close, Irving Oil will continue full operation of the Top Oil business and its assets as usual. Top Oil branding will remain in place across all locations, and the existing workforce will be maintained.

RMS acquires AC Compressor from Baker Hughes
Rotating Machinery Services Inc. (RMS) has acquired the AC Compressor business from Baker Hughes, a GE company.
This acquisition brings the expert personnel, intellectual property and associated tooling of AC Compressor under the RMS umbrella in order to continue delivering the excellent customer service the industry has come to expect from the brand. CE Power and Power Grid Engineering (PGE) have combined their businesses under a newly formed holding company, Qualus Power Services Corp., creating a leading company in the outsourced power systems engineering and field services industry.
