Enterprise Products Partners today announced it would build a new cryogenic natural gas processing facility to serve Delaware Basin producers in west Texas and southeastern New Mexico. The site of the 300-million-cubic-feet-per-day facility has yet to be determined, but Enterprise expects to have it in service by the second quarter of 2018.
The project will also include natural gas gathering pipelines, a residue pipeline and an NGL pipeline to Enterprise's Mid-American Pipeline system.
Company CEO Jim Teague noted it is the third cryogenic natural gas processing plant Enterprise has announced in the past two years. The company’s South Eddy facility started up earlier this year and its Waha plant will begin service in the third quarter. Teague said the new projects would boost Enterprise’s Delaware Basin processing capacity to 800 million cubic feet per day.
